Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI was weed wacking around a young navel orange tree (less than 3 ft tall) and accidentally stripped the bark all around the trunk. I put some cardboard around it and duct taped it for now. Did I just kill this tree? Any hope for it? About 4 inches high was stripped, completely around. This was a week ago. The leaves look good and there’s one fruit. Some of the leaves have turned a very pale green. I appreciate your help.

Leave the wound open to the air, but watch for insects or disease.
It may heal just fine.
