Our bamboo plants are developing large black streaks on the stocks and dropping some leaves. What should I do?

This is likely the start of a fungal infection, and can be easy to cure at the early signs. I recommend applying dolomitic lime, and wettable sulfur to the soil. This will kill off the infection, and stabilize the pH back to a more suitable level for the plants.
