Can you take cuttings from Azalea plants and plant them? If so, when and how for South Florida?

Yes, you can, although it works better with evergreen than deciduous azaleas. Here is how to take azalea cuttings:

The best time to take the cuttings is after the spring growth has hardened, which will be around June in Florida:
