Azalea diseases

I have planted a number of azaleas and at least half have developed terminal conditions. The main symptom is whole leaves turning brown (rusty brown). It starts with a leaf or two and just runs through the entire plant until it is dead. Any suggestions of what this may be, what I’m doing wrong, or what can be done to save the plants?

Newly planted azaleas, did they receive enough water to become established.
