Avacado tree

When a five year old avocado tree grown from seed has a large branch which is pulling it lopsided, should I cut that branch to equal it out so it is balanced?
It is also the first time the tree has fruit. There are about a hundred pea size fruits, I think I need to remove the majority of them. Do I remove the entire froth that the flowers were on or just the fruits?

Pruning can be done after your fruit have ripened, usually mid-summer.
