Autumn trim agapanthus

Question

Can I cut the leaves off my agapanthus and have them come back in the spring?
For the second season they have come back with rust tipped leaves. May be due to herbicide used on pathway 3 years ago… Cedar shrub in front , lawn behind agapanthus…

There could be a few things going on here. The cedar will make it hard to survive for this plant. This sounds like a fungal infection, though. Use wettable sulfur and dolomitic lime. This can help correct the issue.
