Q.‘Autumn Blaze’ tree info states “One thing to consider is offering the tree protection when chilly winter arrives.”

This usually refers to covering a plant or bringing it indoors to protect it from harsh freezing temperatures.

But in your case, in your location, this is probably not needed unless it's a very young and newly planted tree. The USDA plant hardiness zone is listed as 3 through 8. You are in zone 5, so an established tree would not normally need frost protection. But check with your supplier or a local nursery or arborist.
