Asparagus

My first year of asparagus spears are coming out. Should I leave on the plant or remove them? I need to know. I realize you cannot eat them yet, but I need to no what is good for the plant, removing or leaving on.

As long as it’s thriving, I would just leave it. This allows them to get better established, which will mean a healthier plant in the long run.
