Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI recently planted 2 year old asparagus crowns. The ferns are about 3 feet tall. How do I prepare the asparagus for the winter? Do I cut down the ferns? Do I let the ferns grow until next year? What is the procedure?

We would recommend adding a layer of leaves or mulch over them for this first winter to help protect them a little more but other than that, they should be fine.
