Asparagus Plants

The 1st year I did not cut them
down at end season. Mine have made big bushes. Some have little red berries. I live in New Mexico. Mine are nice and green. Some start to turn yellow. Do I trim when it gets cold or, leave them alone?

This appears to be normal as the plant tries to go dormant for the year. The red berries signify that you have a female plant. There is nothing wrong with this, but most people prefer males, as they are more vigorous. Here are two articles that will Help you determine when to cut these and their care:
