Q.peppers being eaten

Something is eating our Scotch Bonnet chilies on the plant but we have been unable to find out what.

If it's just the pepper fruits getting eaten, then I would guess that birds are the culprit - they love chili peppers. Don't know many other critters that do. If it's the foliage, however, I would check for insect pests.
