Asiatic lilies

My Asiatic lilies grew little bulbs right on top of the stalk where flowers should have been. These bulbs had leaves growing already and there was at least 25 on top of each plant. These lilies never bloomed this year. I have seen this on tiger lilies but along the stem not on top and not growing leaves. Why did this happen? I planted them and they are growing.

If the plant was not dead headed when the flowers faded, the plant then turned it’s energy into making seed pods.

I would remove the seed pods from the plant. You may or may not get blooms this season.
