armored scale on ivy geranium

If oil/soap mix cannot be used on waxy leaf (ivy geranium) or hairy leaf (rose geranium), what can be made up to use? I’ve used neem, but I’d like to get a remedy to use instead that is easy to prepare and apply.

Neem oil is the most effective treatment we have found for scale insects. It is actually quite easy to use. Simply mix with water per label instructions and apply as a foliar spray.
