Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comAre there other pine trees that have bare trunks similar to the Ponderosa pine? I am looking for bare trunk pine trees that are NARROW and not as tall as the Ponderosa pine. Would like to plant 3 bare trunk tall, narrow pine trees along the back of my yard to eventually provide privacy from the 2 story houses behind me. I feel pine trees with bare trunks would also allow the yard (which has a 6 foot tall wood fence) to look larger/deeper while also providing shade. I have included a photo that shows a backyard with bare trunk pine trees.

I have listed several links for you to help you get started in the search for your landscape trees.
Many trees can be pruned to give you the effect you are looking for as they mature.
