Q.Are The Bees From My Raspberries Attacking My Fig Trees And Do I Need To Choose Between The 2?
I have nicely growing raspberries in my garden. Lots of bees around. Last year bees attacked my figs for the first time in 10 years. Do you think this is because of the close proximity of the 2 plants? Do you think I will need to sacrifice the raspberries to save the figs from the bees?

Could you move the raspberry canes further from the figs? The bees shouldn't hurt the figs. If they are around when you are trying to harvest the figs, try shaking the nearby branches to scare them away. It may help to plant marigolds near the fig trees. It's pungent odor is said to repel bees.
