Q.Are Pepper Leaves Safe To Eat Raw?

I grow mild peppers and prune lots of leaves to let sunshine get to the fruits. Rather than just composting, is it safe to use the leaves in a salad? If you can point me to a reliable authority on this topic, that’s ideal.

I saw several references that said the leaves would need to be cooked to eradicate any toxicity. Here is one:
