Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI received an oriental lily for a gift. After reading that they are toxic for cats, I am wondering if it is safe for me to keep it in their area. I have it on a 2 ft stand where we and animals live.

Research indicates that any part of the plant would be quite harmful to your cat. Even if she brushes up against it, getting pollen on her fur, and proceeds to lick it off, or if she were to bite any part of the plant, it would be quite poisonous to her.
The two should not be in the same locale. Here's an article that may help.
