Q.Are my plants toxic?? Can’t find exact answers on google.
Hallo there! I recently went to the local gardening centre to purchase 5 specific plants that would do well in a cool indoors environment with minimal light, would require minimal attention and is cat safe. They ended up not having most of what I wanted so I decided to ask the guy in charge for alternatives that fit the criteria above. He seemed quite knowledgeable, but now I’ve done my research and am afraid he played be for a fool with dead cats. Could anyone please help me by telling me if these plants are cat safe, how to take care of them (water, fertilizer, and light), etc. This is the list: Ficus Moclame bush, Aloe Vera, Areca bamboo palm, and Adiantum Maidenhair. And then I have 3 other plants which I’m not too clued up on how to take care of and if they are cat safe: Haworthia Succulent, Arum lily in tin, and Ficus Ginseng -All indoors. I’m a newbie in the gardening sector. Hope to hear from someone soon before my cats try out the plants themselves. Thanks!
Your veterinarian has the updated list on plants safe for cats. The Humane Society and Cat Fanciers Association (http://cfa.org/Owners/CatCare/HouseholdHazards/ToxicPlants.aspx) have lists.
