Are Irises Scented Plants

I was looking at some Mother’s Day gifts and one of them had irises in the bouquet. It was beautiful but my mother is quite elderly and strong smells are hard for her to be around. So I wondered if they have a strong perfumey smell? Thanks for your help.

While they do give off some aroma, irises are not over powering, so they should make a fine bouquet for your mother.
