Are Crepe Myrtles Tolerant of the Cold in AZ

We just bought a crepe myrtle and wonder if they can take the heat of summer in Arizona as well as the cold.

Crepe myrtles should be fine in most areas in Arizona. It is only the very interior of the state where they may have problems. This is a zone map for AZ (https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/planting-zones/arizona-planting-zones.htm [1]). The areas in green may have problems growing some kinds crepe myrtles and would need to have cold hardy crepe myrtles if you wanted to grow them there.
