Crepe myrtles should be fine in most areas in Arizona. It is only the very interior of the state where they may have problems. This is a zone map for AZ (https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/planting-zones/arizona-planting-zones.htm). The areas in green may have problems growing some kinds crepe myrtles and would need to have cold hardy crepe myrtles if you wanted to grow them there.
