Q.apricot tree with no blossom

Zone I live in Littleton co. | bahramjazi added on April 29, 2014 | Answered

I have a 5 year old apricot tree which looks healthy. But there are only a few blossoms every year with no fruit at all. This year it has only one blossom. What would you recommend?
Thanks

This article will give you some thoughts as to why plants don't flower: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/environmental/plant-not-blooming.htm
In addition, here is a primer on apricot culture:

Your tree may need more sun, or it may be getting too much nitrogen-rich fertilizer, which promotes leaves but not flowers. Also, it may be a cultivar that doesn't flower till its older, or is not quite suited to your climate. You could contact your local Extension Service to check on your zone and get their recommendations. This link will help you locate one: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/extension-search/
