Apricot Tree Not Blooming

I have a 4-year old apricot tree that is amongst other stone fruit trees. The other stone fruits provide fruit in abundance; however, the apricot tree does not due to the fact that it does not produce blooms (flowers). I am not sure what to do. I fertilize the tree, water it when required and prune the tree once a year. Last year I did not prune the tree to see if it made any difference, but it still did not produce fruit. Last year I also planted another apricot tree for a companion. I have run out of ideas. Can you please assist me?

First, if you have clay soil, it would help to amend it with compost – this will improve the soil and overall health of any plants in that given area. I would also recommend adding phosphorus, such as bone meal, to the soil as this helps promote flowering. This article will explain more: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/soil-fertilizers/phosphorus-plant-growth.htm [1] For additional reasons why this can occur, this article should be of some help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/apricots/apricot-tree-not-fruiting.htm [2]
