Q.Application Of Deer And Rabbit Repellent
Label on bottle of ,”everguard Deer and Rabbit repellant says safe to apply to vegetables . Is this accurate, safe?

Certified GKH Gardening Expert
It says safe to apply on vegetable gardens when used as directed. Below is the safety data sheet. The main ingredients are essential oils, not pesticides, so it is safe on edibles and around children and pets. But you still wouldn't want children to have access to the product container and consume a large dose. I couldn't find a label direction online (only the back of the container) to see if it specified how soon before harvest you can safely use it. Products for use on edibles typically will specify that, so read and follow all instructions and it should be fine. Just wash the produce well before consuming it. (Sometimes this type of product uses predator urine but this one does not.)
