Apple tree problem

My apples are growing lovely green large but then they start to rot. Some are little birds pecking at them but I think there’s more happening. I have pics if I can add them?

Apple codling moth is possible. There is a caterpillar (larva stage of the moth) feeding inside the apple and the birds are after the worm.
There is not much you can do this time of year to control the pest, but you can begin a preventive program for next year.
