Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI can’t plunge my window boxes into water like suggested. Any safe sprays I could use? (I do have plastic inserts with the soil that sits down in the window box frames.)

You could use a granular insecticide in this case.
If your looking for a natural approach you could add a layer of diatomaceous earth.
