Q.ants eating my figs

Zone Chicago, IL. 60657 | Dan Litvin added on October 5, 2017 | Answered

Hi, I have a Chicago Fig tree in my yard and now that the figs started to ripen, I have lots of small ants feasting on the figs. How can I get rid of these ants ? The ants are very small, black color and very similar to house ants.

I recommend spraying neem oil, with a few drops of rosemary oil in it. This is a very effective pesticide, as is garlic. Here is a link for more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/figs/keep-ants-off-fig-trees.htm
