Anthurium Spadix Turning Brown

Hello everyone, One of the spadix on my anthurium is turning brown. I’ve had the plant for about a week – haven’t watered it, haven’t fertilized it. The soil is still moist (I use a water meter to test it), I live in Florida, so it’s quite warm and humid in my home (about 76 degrees). The plant is placed in a room with bright, diffused sunlight. The rest of the plant looks fine – any ideas? Thank you!

This is the normal process of an unpollinated flower. Once the flower dies off you can cut it back to the ground. Just wait until it is dead to do so. Here is an article that will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/anthurium/anthurium-care.htm [1]
