Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have dry, dead places on some of the leaves. Don’t know if they came that way or have started lately. I know 1 dead spot was there when I got it, but the others seem to have come on later.

This is likely a fungal disease. It can be due to damp soil conditions.
Make sure the soil is a light and airy soil mix and that the roots do not sit in soggy soil.
I would remove the leaves with signs of disease and dispose of.
Make sure the plant has good air circulation around the leaves.
You can use a fungicide spray if the issue persists, but these type of fungus diseases can be difficult to control.
