Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI believe my cucumber plant has developed anthracnose. It’s planted in a rubbermaid container along with yellow squash. It’s just starting to show signs of a couple flowers. I cut off the leaves that were affected, hoping this would help. Is this something the plant can recover from, or do I have to pull it up and throw it away? This is my FIRST EVER attempt at gardening and I’ll be really disappointed if I’ve already screwed it up beyond repair.
Thx,
Yvonne 🙂
P.S. They are Boston pickling cucumbers if that makes a difference. I’m also seeing the same thing starting on my zucchini (planted in an adjacent container) and the yellow squash that’s planted with the cucumbers.

I would first check soil for watering issues. Soil should be moist and not soggy. Did you give the container adequate drainage holes?
Avoid splashing water onto the leaves of your plant.
Make sure your providing full sunshine and air circulation to the plants.
You can fertilize with a low nitrogen fertilizer such as a 5-10-5.
