Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy problem are the antelope here in Montana. There are several deer resistant plants, but the antelope love them. This year we have had moisture, so there is grass but usually with 12 inches annual moisture they eat anything green. Any plants you might suggest for the front lawn?

Unfortunately, antelope will eat anything green and healthy, especially grass and sagebrush. They also prefer shorter plants, 15″ or less, and tend to avoid plantings that have foliage 30″ or greater. Placing larger shrubs around the perimeter of your garden may help. Also, many animals, including deer and antelope, seem to find rue to be offensive and will avoid areas where it is planted.
Although antelope don’t tend to be as picky as deer, perhaps some of the plants listed in the following article will help. It couldn’t hurt anyway: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/deer/deer-resistant-plants.htm [1]
