Q.Angel Trumpet Tree (3 In One)
I have had my 3 in 1 Angel trumpet tree for a few years now, Right now it’s coming out of it’s resting period (I am in zone 6 in Indiana) I have it in my living room, near a window to get indirect sunlight like I do every year since I’ve gotten it . It has been getting lovely healthy green leaves left and right, as it should be at this time. However, the problem is these leaves keep dropping off, for no apparent reason, no insects, no discoloring, giving it nutrients a few times a week, along with just plain water when needed like I always have (the nutrients are new, didn’t do that in years past, they get a mix of cal-mag, potassium and phosphorus). I also put it in it’s final pot a couple weeks ago, but the leaves were falling off way before I did that. Is it the nutrients? most sites I read state they love nutrients and to give it to them every couple weeks along with being a water lover, I check if they need water with a tester that I put down into the soil and it has the needle to move to dry/wet , it’s also a ph reader and a light meter. It’s also getting new sprouts, so I just don’t understand the dropping of perfectly healthy green leaves.

As this plant ages it will require more and more light. Throughout the winter, I find that having a grow light of about 200 watts or greater, along with a way to add humidity to the air, prevents leaf drop.
Dropping without symptoms will be a good indication that the air is just a little too dry, and the light just a little too dim for the shrub.
