Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have an amaryllis that will not produce blooms – I’ve had it for at least 4 years and it’s never bloomed. I saw on your website that I need to let it dry out and go dormant and try again. Should I leave it in the dirt to dry out (and just not water it) or remove it from the dirt? Thanks for your help!

I wouldn't waste any more time trying to get it to bloom inside. The bulb may have rotted in the soil. If not, you can plant it outside in your area and it may bloom for you each spring. Here is how:

You can buy another this fall to bloom inside. Be sure to follow the instructions that come with it.
