Amaryllis Blooms

I received a 5″ x 9″ pot with 3 amaryllis bulbs in early January. I followed directions carefully about watering and light. As of today, 4-22, it has many healthy, tall, dark green leaves but no stems. Am I being impatient about getting stems and blossoms – or do I need to do something besides just letting it be? Should I repot it, each in an individual pot or plant the bulbs outside in my garden?

Amaryllis bulbs are typically shipped with a bud or two ready to grow so that you get a bloom almost immediately. But sometimes the grower mistakenly packs a bulb that is not budding or the bud simply gets damaged in shipping and does not grow. You can keep them for the year and they will bloom in the spring.
