Amaryllis after bloom

Zone Getzville, N.Y. 14068 | Anonymous added on December 29, 2018 | Answered

I noticed some shinny green nodes just behind the bloom. Are these seeds. if so please provide information regarding them so I can grow more from these seeds. If not seed pods what are they. These are indoor plants as I live in zone 6.

These ARE seed pods, but it is important to note that these will take about 4 years to flower from seed. This article will explain how to correctly harvest these: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/bulbs/amaryllis-hippeastrum/amaryllis-bulbs-propagation.htm
