aloe vera seeds ..

I have an out door Aloe that is blooming…the flower is young looking not fully red…could I collect pollen from this flower???…..if not then could I collect seeds from the flower ??

Aloe is not self pollinating, but you can collect the pollen and then distribute it to the female flowers after then open. The open at different times to prevent self pollination, so it is safe to assume that it is better to get pollen from a different plant to pollinate with, but it wouldn’t hurt to experiment with self pollination.
