aloe vera plants

Question

I have several large aloe plants on my patio, under a pergola with shade cloth. My question is, can the plants be put out in direct sunlight all day long? I need more room on my patio and would like to move them out, if I can. Thank you very much for your help.

While the plants do need bright light, I would not place it directly in the sun as this could be too much for the plant. If you must give it more sun, then locate an area with morning sun rather than hot afternoon sun and slowly introduce the plant to more light instead of all at once.
