Alfalfa meal for for roses and flowers

Question

I use a lot of cuttings to start my roses and I use Alfalfa Meal to fertilizer my plants. For rose cuttings in a 4″ planter, how much alfalfa meal should be used per pot?

The amount of alfalfa meal used depends upon the size of the pot. For medium sized pots, I would not use more than 1/4 cup. For larger pots I would use 1/3 cup. I only use 1/2 cup for my in the ground plantings.
