Q.Airplane Plants taking over flower bed

Zone 8B | madcarroll added on October 30, 2011 | Answered

Moved into a house with established beds. The airplane plants were probably once border but now choak out everything I put in the bed. Is there an easy way to get rid of some of them without having to dig up every one. I have a LOT.

Unfortunately, unless you use a wholesale herbicide, which will also kill any other plants in the bad, your only option is to hand dig or pull them. You can make going a little easier by making sure the bed is well watered before you do so. This will loosen teh soil and make digging or pulling easier and faster.
