Q.Air Layering

Zone 85354 Zone 8/9 | bramerbc added on April 16, 2018 | Answered

Can Air layering be done on stone fruit, or nut trees? Is there risk of causing disease or rotting challenges with air layering technique? My assumption is that it is best done before spring, and buds start to swell?

Thanks in advance.

Great site BTW – I will share it on social media.

Brian.

This can be done with relative ease. Just make sure that everything that you use is sterile, and you will have no problem. Peroxide will come in handy, as will aloe juice if you have it. It makes for a good rooting hormone.
