Q.After Irises Bloom In The Spring Can I Cut Them Back Because The Tall Leaves Are In The Way?
I live in Southern Maryland beside a woods. The soil is both clay and sand.

They need to stay on for a while so the rhizomes can regenerate. When the plants go dormant in late summer, you can cut them back. You can cut down the blooming stalk as soon as it fades.
