After harvestinG our red potatoes, should we wash them with water before the curing process? Or just brush the soul off?

We just harvested our first ever red potatoes. Ready to cure them. Do we wash them first? Going to put them in open brown paper bags. It is a small crop about 15-20 lbs.

You will not want to wash these until they are being prepared to eat. The soil will give an extra layer of protection when cured. You can wipe some off, but don’t wash them just yet.
