After coming back from vacation my lantana plants look dead, do i need to trim them up or by watering will they come back

If they are brown, they are likely dead. Perennials, which have deeper roots than annuals, sometimes push out a new set of leaves. It is getting late in the growing season to expect new stems or flowers. If leaves or stems are still green but badly wilted, it is worth watering and see what happens. If you can, rig up some shade with a bedsheet or row cover for your stressed plants. I think it will take several weeks before the plant is restored enough to make new flowers.
