Q.After a good start this spring, my roses have stopped producing flowers. Have fertilized, weeded, and watered.

Fertilizer was Bayer rose feed and 4 weeks later, regular 10/10/10. Plants do not show yellow leafs but also do not seem to be growing, Most plants are a number of years old and wintered over well. We live in Roanoke, Va. I have approx. 25 roses and have been growing roses for 25 years. Have sprayed but have also not noticed much affid or bug damage.

What do you suggest to get them to produce buds and blossoms?

There are a few different things that could be the problem, here is a link to an article I wrote on this subject for you: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/roses/no-blooms-on-roses.htm
Please check it out for some helpful information. If the weather has changed to very hot temps where you are located, it could be that the roses are taking a break from blooming to deal with the stress of the heat as well.
