Q.Dogwood growth after trimming

After a dogwood tree has been trimmed, how long will it take to grow back? Dogwood tree was trimmed this past fall. It was cut back pretty good. How long will it take to grow back?

Dogwood trees generally will grow about 1 foot per year. Considered a slow growing tree.
