African violet

My husband has an African Violet that is 12 years old and looking poorly. He waters with a water-African Violet food mixture. Gives it light but not direct sun. Not sure what to do.

It may be time to repot the violet with fresh potting mix. Look for a commercial mix that is formulated for African Violets.

I would pinch out the old flowers, and remove the leaves that are wilted and brown.

Check the soil before watering, keep the soil slightly moist. They are picky about watering so check the information in the link below.
