African Violet

I don’t know if it’s too late to save my plant and I can’t seem to find help through Google. The stem of my plant has no roots at all and it’s very short. The center where it broke off is purple and I’m not sure if this is a sign of rot. The leaves and their stems seem to be fine, although the plant is pretty flat. The leaves, however, are bleached from the sun and I’m pretty sure the damage is permanent because I got this plant from a florist a couple of weeks ago. I’m really desperate. Is saving it a possibility?

This does sound as if your plant suffered stem or root rot.
If no leaves remain on the plant, it is probably best to discard it.
Broken leaves can be propagated.
