Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy cat bent the flower on my Aechmea fasciata, and it appears to have died. Can I cut off the flower and have the plant grow a new one? And if so, how/where do I make the cut? Or do I leave it alone and will the plant just grow a new flower itself?

Since they only bloom once before dying out anyway, I wouldn’t worry too much. The plant will actually produce babies, which can be repotted. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/bromeliad/aechmea-fasciata-urn-plant.htm [1]
