Acorn squash

Have you ever seen this? This acorn squash vine is 12-15 feet long. The last few feet of the vine are flat and thick, like the ribbon cord found on some electronics, and it is producing lots and lots of female flowers. Only female flowers, no males.

I believe your plant is suffering from Aster’s Yellows.

This is a disease that is carried unto plants by Leaf Hopper insects.

Your plant is showing a witches broom on the terminal growth of your vine.
I would recommend removal of the infected plant from your garden to prevent the spread.
