Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a holly leaf that is no longer the black stem. If it is not dried can it spring up somewhere? Not that it may be because I got him two years ago and the growth has never been good, but this spring I transplanted and put it where it gets more shade to see if it improved but I think it has gotten worse. Can it be Phytophthora or something else? Do you have any solutions?

There may be a little sooty mold. This article will help you:

This is usually caused by some pests such as aphids or scale. Treatment with neem oil should help take care of both fungi and insect pests. Here’s more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/problems/pests/neem-oil-uses.htm [2]
